2011 4WD spec
Hi all,
I used to own a 2007 Outlander and was thrilled with it - only sold it to upgrade to a Jeep GC.
Now, as new models are released, I keep reading a lot of so-and-so articles about the nature of the Mitsu 4WD system.
The proper description for the 2007 model can be read here: http://media.mitsubishicars.com/rele...uery=4WD+Lock#
Now, I just wonder if this spec still holds? Is the 4WD system still the same on the new models?
Cheers,
-Morten

in the US Mitsubishi now has the Super all wheel control (S-AWC) which is an upgrade from their AWC, but it only comes standard on the Outlander GT and can not be added as an option on other models of the Outlander. Also their AWC is now only available on the SE model and not available on the ES or XLS models which are only 2WD models.

The GT does not have a 2WD mode it's always 4WD.
The description is available in this Power Point presentation page 20 to 28.
The rest is covering the EVO X, the RalliArt and the new Sport.

Keep in mind that the Outlander is a Road beast (Better than most Jeep in the snow) and not designed for Off Road prowess and is obviously not Rubicon Trail rated. (Uni-body construction)
It has an electronically controlled front Differential and the same at the rear as before but a host of new sensors.
