Default 2011 Outlander speakers cutting in & out

I've got a 2011 Outlander with the factory stereo & speakers. I realize there are probably a few options from the factory, but for this discussion my point is that I haven't messed around with the equipment. It is untouched since installation at the factory. And for some reason my speakers are starting to intermittently cut out when the radio or a CD is playing.

Has anyone else had this issue?? I've owned a lot of vehicles in my life and I've never had this happen. So I'm kind of stumped.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated.

Thanks and have a great weekend!!

Are all speakers cutting in and out in unison...at the same time?
Are you noticing any dimming of the radio display?

I'm wondering if you are having a grounding issue with one or more speakers...or maybe with the radio itself.

No amp that I'm aware of.

Yes all the speakers cut out simultaneously at random intervals. Haven't noticed the display dim at all. Also I'll change the radio frequency and the display will show the new station, but the radio continues broadcasting the original channel. Very strange.

Sounds like an issue within the radio itself. Try to get it replaced under warranty.

Or think about buying a new one. Maybe even a nice parrot smart radio that runs on android =)
