Or they filled the transfer case with ATF, I've seen that before.

this is what I found when I removed the valve cover 245,000 km and was serviced at the dealer

Has me wondering if you can see that build up through the oil fill caps?

you could likely see it with a small mirror , yes a scope you could for sure
it had a new radiator install do you think overheating would do that ?

Yeah, I would have guessed ultra long oil change intervals, or over temperature engine/oil. How do the spark plugs look on that caked engine?
