Default 2014 outlander sport won't start

Ok, bought my car with 1 mile on it, has about 38,000 miles on it. I went out to start it yesterday and it won't start it's cranking but not engaging. Lights are turning on. Any one else had this problem? They are supposed to come tow it in the morning

Could be anything... Did you run out of fuel? :P

I wouldn't worry about it too much, the dealer will fix whatever is wrong under warranty.

It's got over half a tank unless something is wrong with the computerized fuel gague but I reset miles every time, and it seemed fine

A crank no start is a pretty complex thing to diagnose. Seeing as how they probably already have it and aren't going to charge you anything to fix it, again I wouldn't worry about trying to find out what the problem is yourself.

You can post back after they fix it and let us know what it was, then maybe other owners can comment but it's probably just a factory defect of some kind or another.

I'm just waiting now. The dealership didn't even know they dropped it off. I hate not having a car

If I was you, I'd be on the phone with them demanding a rental/loaner while they have your car... You bought a brand new car from them and it's giving you trouble already they shouldn't be leaving your hanging.

My boyfriend told me to, allegedlythey just finished, it was the battery guess it failed. I had to rush and get it before they closed.

Weird that a new battery would go like that.. Usually when the battery is the problem you can hear it cranking slower (or not at all) and get some kind of indicator lights.

Anything can be defective though.. Glad to hear they got it sorted out, hopefully it goes another 10 years without giving you any more trouble.
