Default 2014 Sport CVT Service

My daughters 2014 Outlander Sport is at 70k miles and just realized that the CVT hasn't been serviced. Looks like a drain and fill (but need your alls help on it).
How much fluid does this CVT Take (think 5qt)?
Should I use Mitsubishi or just CVT fluid?
Does the drain take a crush washer?
Any torgue specs on plug?

Thanks guys. I am suprised how little information is out there on the "Sport" tons on the regular "Outlander".

3.5 litres of Diaqueen oil per change, and it is advised to change it at east twice. More if the colour is still dark.

It will say on your dipstick if it takes J1 or J4 oil... If it says J1 then you can use J4 as J1 is now not being made anymore.

Do not be tempted to use any other oil. People using other oils is what gives this transmission a bad reputation.

You cannot get oil the oil out so the procedure is to go for a drive to warm up, drain oil. refill, go for another drive to mix and then change again. Depending on how clean it looks is the guide to whether you need more.

There is a crush washer on the drain plug, and tightning torque is 39nm

One quick question. You talk about 3.5l where the manual for the car says 7.1l. Is this why you flush twice to get to the 7.1 or am I missing something?
Ordered 8qt from Mitsubishi and a new washer for next weekend fun.

You will only get about 3.5litres out. The torque converter and valve block hold the rest, and you cannot drain them.

But the total capacity is 7 litres from dry.

We change it twice to dilute as much of the old oil with fresh
