2016 Outlander... "Galactica"

Looking forward to seeing the K&N results. One of the most controversial mods due to inconclusive results.
You are lucky the wheels fit on your Outlander, hub size, bolts, etc. Love to see pics when you have them.
Lowering will definitely help handling. I'm not so sure about the strut brace. I have one on my other car and it probably makes steering more responsive more than reducing body roll. I wonder if there are aftermarket sway bars for the Outlander. Then again, it's not really made to be a tight handling vehicle. Sways and lowering will help for sure. Do they have coilovers for these? Might only have springs available?

I know I can get springs, which is probably what I would use, but I'm sure you can work up a coil over if needed.
so far, I'm happy with the pulley mod. MPG wise it's been the best mod so far. Keeping he stock box with the K&N should bring results. I'm also still running at least 91 octane exclusively. NEVER ethanol.
I just need some time to get the wheels N tires mounted and then I should see even better results in MPG's.
As far as the strut bar, I'm pretty sure it'll firm up the chassis and help the wandering on the HyWy. (did on my car) I might have to just see what I can do about a sway bar on my own.

I second that. I'm all into clean looks. I'm thinking of taking the resonator in my 2010 as well. These resonators are like random tumors in the intake pipe... lol

Picked up a new set of tires off ebay for my 19's. I ended up just throwing out a bid of $360 for some new Dunlop (BMW take offs) SP Sport 01A's. there were 5hrs left so I figured what the heck.... When it closed, I was the winning bidder at $325. lol
245/45/19's with less than 20 miles on them. (driven over to the tire shop after new purchase).
Lucky me, they cost $480 "a piece" new,,,,,, and I got free shipping.
sometimes the bay auctions pay off. They have shipped and will be here Monday. Yay....

My EbAy "steal deal" Dunlops came in Monday. Got an appointment for Friday to get them on the custom painted 19's and have the sensors cloned.
Can't wait to see how this combo looks and handles. Found on another forum I might be able to add a 2nd set of sensors to the memory on the 16 model, so we'll see if that can be done. If so, I'll report back the good news.
Not sure how they got the new beemer to the tire shop, but they must have rolled it straight over from the dealer. The factory tire stickers were still on them AND readable. What a smokin' deal.

Got them mounted Friday, and had a chance to check them out on the interstate, cloverleaf on ramps, etc.
VERY happy with these tires!!! Most noticeable was the straight line ease of acceleration, (less wandering) and GREAT braking on dry and wet pavement.
Sidewall is a bit stiffer and the cornering is improved (less tire roll) mostly by the amount of tire contact to the road.
I measured them out compared to the wifes 14 Outlander, and each set is dead on at 27"s from top of tire to road surface. (at correct psi) wheel/fender gap is the same on both of them as well. I think some 1" lowering springs will be the ticket to get this UTE where I want it.
On a side note, the 16 IS ABLE to have a second set of TPMS' added to the memory, so no cloning is needed. They simply added the set of sensors I got from a Chrysler/Jeep/whatever off ebay. 315 Hrtz. So now I've got my summer set, and stockers for winter. Here's some pics (in the rain) of the comparison.

Thanks to the internet, we can all share what's working and show off our rides like one big universal car show.
I'll say it right now, anyone thinking of keeping their 2.4L Big O long term and wanting better performance from it (mpg's too) should seriously look into the RRM pulley.
I'm looking at lowering springs next. 1" I think will work. I have an ideal to fab a strut tower brace, but I'm going to have some lazer cut mounting brackets cut and see what happens from there.
