2016+ Outlander GT or 2.4, too gutless?
I've driven an '06 LR3 (4.0 V6) for the last ~decade and got the itch to change. Being a former Montero owner (a Gen 1 & Gen 2.5) I kind of have Mitsubishi on my radar again. Nearly pulled the trigger on a Gen 2 Montero, but decided against it. Biggest draw to the current/semi recent Outlanders is the fuel econo and the fact that I can't find many real complaints about them, which are pretty important to me in life right now -- i.e. less hassle and not expensive to fuel. Prefer an AWC or S-AWC. I know they're down on power, but I can manage...I've owned slow *** cars before.
This would be a daily, mostly around town and the occasional road trip. The LR3 is a pretty nice ride, but when something breaks, it's pricey. And the 4.0 sucks premium like it's going out of style. Let me know people, run away or look elsewhere..?

I saw a (really terribly done, half assed, professional?) review of the V6 GT on youtube, It sounded good but the specs are really not much better than the LR3 which is 18 years old. It does have a normal transimission, not a CVT and that's good, but the 4WD system in the Land Rover seems better/has more features.
At this point I'm going to throw some money at my LR3 and keep driving it until the wheels fall off.
