Is the relay (along with ETACS) to make the DRL work, or to change the intensity to make them brighter?

I thought DRL were required in the States. Until now. I just bought a 2016 Outlander SE and was trying to figure out what I did that turned them off. lol

The relay is required for the DRL's to come on at all.

DRL's are not required in the US for sure. Some people try to turn them off as a preference, and many cars are still sold without them as standard. I'm a big believer in them for safety. I have experienced how much easier it is to see cars especially looking into the sun when DRL's are on. My two cents.

Exactly.

For relays, do you have the chart for what they are for? My relay locations does not match your picture. And even some fuses do not match.

It's quite simple really - all you need to do is turn your lights on - and they go off when the car is turned off after X seconds. Automatic DRL's even when not so equipped!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Bought the cable and relay and now I have functioning DRLs!

For the door locks, I didn't see them under the etacs variant tab but I did find them under the custom tab. Is that where I change it to auto lock/unlock?

Thanks again!

Is it possible to have my '13 programmed so that the locks lock when I start to drive, and unlock when I turn the car off? (My '99 Jeep Cherokee had this feature, and I loved that.)

I got my chart from under the fuse/relay cover. If it's not there for your model, it should be in your manual. I don't think my fuse chart will help you much if we have different models. Remember, this is the one in the engine bay.

Sweet! Door unlock and lock are 2 different settings on 2 different areas:
Lock - ETACS Variant, key 113 on mine.
Unlock - ETACS Custom, key 16 on mine.
The key can vary depending on exact Outlander model, but it should be in the same ballpark.

See my response directly above. That setting is exactly what you are looking to do. Another great safety feature common in other brands turned off by default in NA by Mitsubishi.
