Default 2016 Outlander still losing power after recall fix

Hello everyone.

So I had a bit of a dangerous situation happen the other day. I was coasting down a hill and I lost all power. Engine was still running but it felt like my transmission was in neutral. I had my kids in the car and was being tailed by a dump truck so it wasnt the safest of times for this to happen. I managed to coast to a side street, it seemed to work after that but I didnt want to risk going back into heavy traffic only to get stuck.

I had it towed to the dealer, they said they couldnt recreate the issue so there isnt anything they could do. I asked them if they properly addressed the cvt recall, they said they did.

From what I researched it seems like the issue is the exact symptoms of why the recall was issued in the first place.
They said it may have just been a one off thing and may never happen again.

Has anyone ever encountered something like this?
How should I deal with my dealer if this is to happen again?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Did you still have power steering or just no power to the wheels? Did the engine rev up any?
