Default 2017 outlander gt Bluetooth

I just bought a 2017 outlander GT. I really like it so far but I'm not impressed with the bluetooth programing for the phone. When the phone is being used sound only comes out on the passenger side and the volume is very low which makes it difficult to hear while on the highway or heavy road noise. I checked the on screen settings but can't figure out how change it to sterio or increase the volume. Anyone know a fix ???

Even though I have an 2010 Outlander, the bluetooth phone is also through the passenger speaker but if you want to turn up the volume, when you are in a call on the bluetooth just use the volume button on the stereo. When you turn it up whilst on bluetooth, it does not turn up the radio when you end the call.

Make sure the volume on your phone is also turned up. Mine was the same way until I made a call and turned the volume up on the phone to max. Not sure why you have to do this, but it worked for me.

Unfortunately there’s no possible way to change which speaker the call comes from. That’s how it was designed.

Default Change audio output channel

You can go into the service menu and change the destination country from "Auto" to "USA". That will move the phone audio to the left side speaker. Unfortunately can't change the limit above 11.

To enter the menu:
Press screen off. This is NOT the same as powering off.
Press and hold the top left corner of the now black screen. After 5 seconds it will beep.
Press and hold the bottom right corner of the still black screen for 5 seconds. Release and you are in the service menu.

Careful in there, you can break things.
