Default 3rd row head rest 2016 outlander

So it seems the north American 3rd row headrest is different than the European or Asian one. The Asian one, you don't have to remove and just push it all the way in and fold your seat down. Seems way more convenient and saves trunk space. Anyone in north America bought a replacement? Is this it?

Was not aware of other options. Agree, it's not the most elegant solution, but the oem headrests do fit in that little space under the trunk. We actually put other things in there as well, mini booster seat, shopping bags, etc. So the headrests don't really bother me, but the fact that the trunk cover doesn't fit in the intended slot due to the subwoofer is really annoying. Looks like that subwoofer was a design afterthought.

I agree about the sub design intruding on the space for the cargo cover. But I'd rather have the sub. So I'm dealing with it. But I really hate the north American headrest. So if someone can confirm that those in the links are the non-na ones, I'm gonna snap them up.

I also got the foldable cargo tray. It's not bad. A little flimsy but protects the cargo area and I don't have to remove it when I use the 3rd row.

HEADREST, LEFT for 2014 Mitsubishi Outlander
I like that too, if it is an option in US. Any chance to show a pic?

I am new to the forum, as well as to Outlander. I do not get the mileage as advertised, 25 in city and 30 in highway. I drove with all the leafs on, i.e., most fuel economy and I am getting 23 MPG on the highway. Including myself, there is only 3 passengers. What is the most fuel efficient way of driving the Outlander, S-AWD, 2.4 L?

tks

It usually take about 15 to 20 mins of driving before the mpg starts making sense. That said, I just went on a road trip from Philadelphia to Charlottesville and my mpg was 27 highway. Average speed was 60-75. In the city like Philadelphia, my mpg is around 16. That's cos every block has a stop sign or traffic light. You should be doing much much better than me. Mines a v6. I don't use eco but leave it on awd eco only.

I just drove it less than 500 miles. May be a bit break-in later would be better? Quite disappoint with the fuel economy. Otherwise, quite happy with the car.

Another newbie question. I was sitting in the 3rd row seat, and the 2nd row passenger pushed all the way back for space. And then she suddenly decided to leave the car for bathroom. I then realized, I cannot get out of the 3rd row seat if nobody push the seat forward for me. Is there any button I can push to move the 2nd row seat forward, or how should the 3rd row seater get in and out if the 2nd row seater is gone? I am sorry if this sounded too dumb a question , brand new owner!

Last week, I happenned to rent a Toyota Camry 2016. They have a link system, that one link the BT to the info window, and have GPS! they use Scott GPS, ie, the GPS is on my cellphone and link the map and navigation to the info window and I dont have to pay for the GPS. I guess there is no 'App' in our nonGPS outlander?

TIA,
bun

Isnt there a lever next to the headrest? The seat should be able to slide forward once the seat back is pushed 45 degrees.

3:20 in this video.

You are right, lift up the lever, and push seat 45 degree, than the seat will be able to slide back and forth. Nice. Thank you.
