Default 4cyl in the outie?

I am close to purchasing an 08 Outlander. Test drove the LS and loved it but hoped for better gas milage. Local dealers don`t have a 4cylES to test and seem to downplay the performance. I would guess because they want to sell what`s on the lot. Would appreciate any comments on the real world milage of the LS and if anyonehas the 4 cyl, interested in you thoughts on performance and mpg. Also what do you think abouttowing a jet ski (about 1000lbs total)with the 4.

well I do have the 4cyl, here in Panama, they didint brought the V6, mostly because here cars with big engines people dont buy them.

I fill up the tank and running in the city I got around 330Km (sorry we use Km and not Milles), I last week I made a long trip, it came to almost 500km.

hope that gives you any clue, about the towing I dont now really

Well... I thought you should get a little more than 330Km, that's about what I get for the V6...

Luckily we have diesel engines 2.0 DiD (140PS)and 2.2 DiD (155PS).
With full tank I can make approximately 750 km, mixed surfaces.

I have a 4 cylinder (petrol) CVT model and I can drive with full tank something about 450-480 km in the city. In a long trip I managed to drive something around 600 km with a full tank.

I have same engine. Do you think to improve it with Mitsubishi tuning chip?
