What is alternator output supposed to be on a 2012 SE outlander with 2.4L engine? In normal operating conditions my running voltage is 11.6 - 12.1 - which appears to be battery voltage only. I would expect alternator output with engine running to be around 13.2. When I turn on the headlamps the voltage jumps to 13.2, but otherwise it appears to be battery voltage and nothing more. I asked my dealer about it and he said that is normal in these engines. Anyone know if the dealer is blowing smoke on this?
