Amplifier parasitic drain on battery - any suggestions on how to repair/replace?
Hello,
First post for me. I have a 2017 mitsubishi outlander, and have identified a situation of a parasitic drain coming from Amplifier. This drain causes car to not start. After disconnecting the Amplifier, the issue is gone. However, obviously the Fosgate system doesn't work now. Price to get a new Amplifier, sku 8701A565 is $700 to $1000. And, that is more than I was hoping to spend to fix the problem. I've driven the car > 1 year without the music system, and wondering if anyone knows a less expensive option to the Amplifier problem. Or, is there is a much easier fix. Unfortunately for me, I do not have any knowledge of car stereo electrical and mechanical solutions. thanks, Mike
