Default Android auto disconnecting at times

Outlander ES 2.4 2019 canada .... we are experiencing this behaviour since over a year. Sometimes Android auto perform flawlessly for weeks and for some other time it can disconnect a few times ... At first I tought it was the USB connector that I cleaned , and I also cleaned the cell connector . I even manage to readjust the retaining tab inside the usb plug to make sure that the connection is tight ... now i dont know, is the the head unit, is it the phone is it the usb connector ?

and No I have no other phone to test the outfit and yes I've tried different USB cable ... at the end nothing is really obvious and the culprit is still running, any idea ?

Bump this question. I have the same problem. 2018 Outlander PHEV, USB for Carplay and Android Auto worked fine for years then slowly became more erratic with USB connection stability.

Honestly, I think there is a loose or faulty connection somewhere. I'd like to just take it apart and reassemble it. How hard is it to do that?

I've already got new cables to the phones, but it doesn't help.

Please advise. Thank you so much!
