I have a new 08 XLS and I called the dealer since the date on the Navi Map said 2006. They said that is the current map and no word on when the next release upate will be. They also said it would be chargeable at $150 for the upgrade regardless of when I purchased the truck.

I have an 07.
Talked to the corporate office a week ago. Once the 09 models come out, this fall, map update 2007 will be out.
Hopefully it will have an updated POI. The POI in 05 is horrible

I really hope the POI improve. My girlfriend has a garmin and can type in Best Buy, starbucks, Walmart and so on.
The Garmin will show a list of them starting with the closest one first. Cost $190 I might end of getting that instead of the update. POI plus portable and 2008 maps.
The nav update seems to be a huge mystery. No one know what it includes and when it will be released.
The MMCS is nice, Musicserver, integrated Sirius + bluetoothand touchscreen, but is lacking with weather/traffic updates and maps. For $2000 I could buy gps's for the whole family
