Auto Climate Button Not Working, 2019 SE
All, have a question about the HVAC controls on my new-to-me 2019 Outlander SE. When I purchased it the auto button light was on and controlling the HVAC properly. I pushed the button to turn off the auto function, and now it won't reactivate. I've looked through the manual but haven't found anything helpful. Are there certain conditions and/or settings that need to be correct for the auto feature to work? I imagine it's something simple that I'm overlooking and appreciate any input.

Hmm, I have the same controls in my Mirage and once you have the temps, airflow (using mode) & fan speed set you just need to push the auto button to switch over to "auto". It should switch over to auto mode. If it doesn't switch over then it would be a warranty issue for sure. Here's a interesting tidbit: Once in auto mode if you don't want the AC to come on then hold the AC button while in auto mode until the panels beeps and the snowflake flashes. Now the AC compressor is disabled until reset by changing "modes", holding the AC button again or turning everything off using the "off" button on the panel.
Thanks, inuvik, I appreciate the input. I tried the A/C function you mentioned above after reading about it in the manual, just to see if it would make a difference. It didn't. Maybe I'll try dicsonnecting the battery for an hour or so to see if it resets.
You might try just pulling the Heater fuse first, start the vehicle, shut it off, replace the fuse and restart. If that doesn't work then yes a full disconnect would be my next step. The only reason I suggest pulling the fuse first because disconnecting the battery will force the CVT to back into relearn mode and you might notice a difference until it resets itself after about 50 or so miles.
