Default Auto Door locking

I just picked up my new Outlander XLS. After 10 minutes, I am very happy I purchased it...lol

The dealer mentioned that I can program it for the doors to automatically lock when I walk away from the vehicle. I did not find how to do that in the book. Does anyone know?

Mine always locks when I leave the car and has always done that. I guess if you have navigation you can find the option buried deep in the unit somewhere.

If you have nav (MMCS or whatnot), then look under the "Equipment" setting. Otherwise the dealer will have to program it for you.

Default Auto door Lock

I have a 2007 Endeavor that seems to lock automatically when you close the rear hatch. I do not like the feature and would like to disable it. Does anyone know how?

All these options are customizable either through MMCS (factory Navi), or by dealer's MUT III, or Lexia device.

I've set my locks to lock at about 20 kmh and unlock when switching to P.

I don't think that this is available as an option to the 2008 EUROPEAN OUTLANDER.....

Vadimus, did you program the locking at 20kmh on your own or through the dealer?
I don't have the Factory Nav, and the dealer told me it was not possible to program this feature. They were able to program it to unlock when switching to park.

Thanks,
Mark

Mark, I did it by my Lexia.
Dealer is a moron, sorry.

I work near Yonge and Finch, so we can meet somewhere there and I'll activate this feature for you if you like.

It is available for sure.
Moreover, there's lot of other features of your Outie, like auto-rising of windows or mirrors folding with locks and unfolding at 20kmh.
