Default RE: AUX input.....

I have the european version, but I think the wiring is the same.
When it came, I had no iPOD adapter nor backseats console. I ordered the iPOD adapter and I checked the connection ew weeks ago when I needed to activate the console. I noticed that the iPOD adapter is connected on the regular AUX IN audio input in MMCS. The cables for console are still there (video and audio) but are not connected anywhere now. The only way to connect them are to remove the iPOD adapter and to connect those from rear console. Even if the connector is not visible from the rear, the chances are that the cables are there. The only thing is to connect them to MMCS and to put dome RCAs or any connector you prefer to the other end.
Personally I bought three RCAs, embedding them directly into the rear cover and on the other side, I soldered the cables directly to them, removing the connector. (may not be the brightest way but definitely the easyest, cheapest and fastest).
After this, the iPOD can show only movies on MMCS, the menu screen is not available and is not managleable by the MMCS.[&o]

I've just pulled the cover off my UK spec outlander Elegance and the wiring is there for the rear RCA jacks. Does anyone have the wiring diagram for what wire goes where i.e audio left, audio right, video. I'm going to wire in a i pod connector and power it from the aux power socket from inside the arm rest.
Does anyone have a picture of the connector and which location it goes into in the head unit???
