Default Is AWD on full time?

2003 Outlander LS AWD. Does anyone know how the Outlander's AWD system functions? Is it in AWD all the time, or is it like Honda's system that applies power to the rear wheels only when necessary.

Thanks

I think the Outlander AWD is a 50/50 split between front and rear. Power gets diverted away from slipping wheels.
