Default Big vibration.

Hi,
we have just had a nightmare trip.
just had to tow our caravan home due to current lockdown restrictions imposed.
Whilst driving lost all power as if the turbo had gone. And a hissing noise which quickened and louder on acceleration. Not to mention a massive vibration through the whole car whilst driving. When not throttling this vibration goes away.
can anyone help?

Sounds like you have a split in your inlet pipe from the intercooler. look down the front of the engine by radiator, you will see a thick black pipe. Have a good look around it and feel for a split. Might be a bit oily, so use gloves or a rag

Thanks Dibs,
After inspection, there's a 1 inch split in the hose. it's a dealer only part and can get it tomorrow with a price of £300.
hope this will sort the vibration issue out aswell.

Check your engine oil level. if it has climbed to near the X on the dipstick, then your oil dilution level will be high because of the split pipe.

If you havent driven far, then it probably will be ok.
