Default Blower running without ignition

Hi,

On my 2005 Outlander there is a blower running without the engine being turned on. So I put in the ignition key, and even without starting the engine there is one of the blowers already running intermittently.

Could it be that a temp-sensor is tripping? Or a relay issue?

Regards, Paul.

It is a faulty fan control module. There was a recall for this. I got a free replacement from Mitsubishi just a few weeks ago.

Default Blower running without ignition - update

@ Matthew: thanks for the reply! I forwarded your info to my dealer (Netherlands). And apparently this "re-call" action applied to a 2.4liter engine.
But based on this info, they now assume it has to do something with the controller or a relay.
Regards, Paul.
