Is the Bluetooth really worth it?

RE: Is the Bluetooth really worth it?
Only problem I've had is it takes about 3 seconds after either end picks up before we can hear each other. Very repeatable. The other person just hears road noise for a few seconds while both of us are saying "hellloo??". Had problems with some people hanging up because they think I'm not there. But I think something's messed up; planning to ask service dept about this on oil change day.
So the mic is in the light, eh? Always wondered where it was, as some people have complained that they couldn't hear the passenger as well. That doesn't make sense now, either.

RE: Is the Bluetooth really worth it?
me and my wife is on T-mobile and it's about 1-2 sec "dead silence" before I hear the other line after the call gets connected, and I'm talking about phone handset to handset calls. I've tried this with a landline to cell, it's still there. And same is true when using BT in my vehicle. So my presumption is that this is a cell carrier issue and not at all related to BT (in the case of T-mob at least). A must have for me. If the OEM BT is a little costly from your dealer, there are other BT HF devices out there (not too sure of the call quality though).

Love mine. No complaints. No delay issues, sounds issues, connection issues whatsoever.
Using a Treo 650.
I live in Quebec. New legislation coming into effect banning handheld use of cell phone. Could not have got BT at a better time. Unrelated, Snow tires will be mandatory as well as of next winter.

In NJ its been illegal to talk on the phone and drive. Its actually an offense a police officer can pull you over for.Im pretty sure the new law of texting and driving was also passed. There was a big talk about eating and smoking while driving too. I dont know where that ended up though.
