After a surprising quote from Calgary dealership of $24.95 for a single drl bulb... I went on with a glorious search of a diy replacement. There are lots of led options online. The 2 options found on older threads here on this forum were about a 1156LL similar to the oem versus a brighter 3497 but shorter lifespan.

To my surprise, both can now be made in SMD LED and even the newer version of the blank bar led in same bulb size. Same cdl of the 3497 and... 9x the lifespan. For a microcospical price of $3.74 for a pair! That being said... shipping from china will be between 2 weeks to 2 months to get it. But since I am not breaking any law with only 1 running now, I just ordered them. Will keep posted when they get here and replace the set.
