Default DPF Regeneration Mitsubishi Outlander

Hi, it states on the scan tool I have that there are two triggers for Regen of dpf the first trigger is at 600km and the second trigger is at 400km. However my car is Regenrating after less than 50 miles or two days after taking it for a good run down the motorway/highway to turn off the Regen process.

Dpf reaches correct temperature and compleates the Regen process after 45 minutes only to start again after 2 days with less than 50 miles driving.

Is this a sign the dpf is clogged or no longer working as it should?

Thanks

600 and 400 are way too low. A good running engine will be 750 to 1000, so you obviously have a problem.

Do you have a split hose? This is most common. Other sources of air leaks need to be checked too.

The EGR may be sticking is another. Have a look inside the inlet manifold with a mirror. If it is all sooted up then you may find the small pipe to the Boost sensor is blocked. This will make things just as bad as a split pipe.

Thanks for reply, yeah if you think that is too low then there must be a problem before the dpf. What hose am I looking for that might be split? Or what hose do I need to look at first thanks
