Limp mode ASC and 4WD but DPF removed
Hi all
I feel like I'm pulling a long ball of wool on this one...
2.2 2013 diesel - 120k on the clock
Car has had smoke test, turbo intercooler hoses replaced and DPF removed/mapped out. Driven perfectly for a couple of weeks
At around 25 miles/30 minutes, this morning car went into limp mode again.
Does anyone know what happens at this point - is it trying to do a DPF regen despite lack of DPF?
Any ideas please as losing the will to live...Thanks in advance...

Any error codes have been read?
If ECU is trying DPF regeneration then it was not mapped out.
When DPF regen fails then you should see corresponding message on a dash panel (at least Outlander 2013 2.2 DiD shows it).
For my outie regenration takes place every 500..600km if diff pressure sensor condition not met.

I'm not 100-percent sure but I parked the car up last night and then driven to work this morning, and it dtri
drived absolutely beautifully for 35 miles.
It's like there's nothing wrong with the car.
It also ran for about a week for about 250 to 300 miles driving beautifully so I'm just going to see how many more miles it does before it throws up the warning errors again.
This is the reason why I think it's the regeneration that's causing the problem. I thought it was occurring roughly about 30 mi into a trip but it doesn't seem to be the case. I think it's happening at about 200 to 300 miles, but I'm now keeping an eye on it to test my hypothesis.
I'm having the same issue with my Outlander 2013 2.2 DiD .
I was mid way doing a 1,000 km highway drive and I got the ASC & 4WD system service required.
car went in to limp mode and I limped home- that was a long drive.
have you had any further issues since removing the DPF and unmapping it?
