jsrd is looking into the sensor, it is the same as the rain detection.
i've got to go out of town today, i will dig deeper tomorrow.
Hi mitsupartsman. The investigation that I did is that autoclimate sensor is the same who the Autolight sensor. In the following link I put the information about this (https://mitsubishiforum.com/m_237280/mpage_4/tm.htm). Only I need to check if the C-05 sensor has the 5 terminals and if it is the ready prewiring for autolight function. We must sure with respect to if autolight sensor is now in rain sensor, but I believe that it continues in C-05. . .
mitsuparstman is right, the photosensor is inside the rain sensor in 2009 models in Mexico; in the versions without the rain sensor, the photosensor is in the upper the dashboard...
the c-05 connector is a direct feed to the a/c ecu the light sensor in the 2009 model uses a d-39 connector which is not in the 2007 model.

Hi mitsupartsman, does this mean we can't "transplant" the auto-wiper&auto-lights feature of the 09s to the 07-08s, even if we had the correct parts and corresponding ECU programming?

Alright wow...I spent 5 hours installing the fog kit and sure enough it was too dam easy! I cannot believe I went to the dealer for that...

You need alot of patience since there are alot of clips to take out and careful handling of each part. Once you take everything off, don't be like me of where you put your clips! I combine the clips in one storage place and forgot which goes where so I just put whatever is in my hand to reassemble everything. No biggie deal though.

Sorry I cannot take pics of the step by step installation b/c I was so busy on working on it.[:-]

But I will post pics of the final product. Have to wait till dark today. I will try to post pics tonight if possible. Check BACK SOON!

Looks very nice

Thats alright..... pretty much what we need to figure out is how to keep the daylight runners (which are in the fog lights) to just stay on all the time, whether the low beams are on or off.

Thats what I want anyways.... please, please, please someone figure this one out..
Are you still interested in doing this? I know a solution.

What are you talking about???Mitsupartsman has solved and posted this issue in this thread.... you and me have posts all through out it...

I havent ordered the parts yet, just been to busy. But all we need is a new relay and switch. Then reprogram the ETACS.

Well okay then, because if you just want the DRLs ON all the time, as stated in your post which I quoted, it's an easy fix. But if you want to be able to turn it off/on then you will need the switch. I am in the process of installing fogs where my DRLs are, and use my parking lights as DRLs instead. I'm buying the switch too.

I also got HID and would like to do this..... but before I order the parts I just want to confirm if I understand this correctly

first... if I order the light switch(8614A064) and the relay(MR588567) and have the ETACS reprogram my DRLs will work using the new switch (turn it on and off as I wish)? is this correct?

2nd... if I order the fog light kit(MZ380376EX) with the switch and relay then reprogram the ETACS.... the DRLs will be the fog lights and i will be able to turn it on and off whenever I want....?

Do I need to go to the dealer for the ETACS reprograming? Or I could do it myself?

Thanks....

The only difference if you order the kit or order the switch and relay seperate is the fog light housings/bulbs will be different. In the fog kit you will get new fog lamps that have a brighter bulb. Otherwise if you just order the switch and relay seperate you will just use your existing DRL lamp, which is not as bright. Either way, you will be able to turn on or leave off the fogs when the HID are on. And DRL's will be on like normal when the HID are off.

mitsupartsman submitted a diagram (earlier in this thread)for reprograming the ETACS, that way you can do it yourself instead of taking it to a dealer and paying them to do it. Which by the diagram shows, consists of opening and closing the doors .
