OMG... There's a 6-pack waiting for you right now... I *SO* can't wait to get the DVD-in-motion working... A *HUGE* plus would be to be able to replace the start-up logo but the 6-pack is just waiting for your DVD magic to happen.

*bouncing around*

I have the 09 Lancer GTS with version 30.99. Am I reading these post right that I should NOT use the last patch, until one is available for this version?

Thanks in advance

Hi from Bulgaria,

My versions are: App - 00.31.08 (newer one?)
LDR-BLD-NR-261EM 1.09

are those already patched? I did a search and it returned no results. I've spent more than an hour reading this thread but I might have missed something.

Could you tell me if this is a already patched version, or should I spare some time to try and unlock the MMC and upload the files..?

thx

Hi from Athens, few days ago I used the well known by now patch for BL# 216EM (though it doesn't give any additional version particulars), on my BL#216EM 1.09 Appl. 00.31.06 and it works really fine. No problems what so ever, if that's of any help.

By the way, can I make an image of my mmc's HDD without unlocking it? .. just by hooking it to a PC, or not..

I wanted to make a backup of if before I try to patch it with the patch for BL# 216EM. Do I need to do it? Or should I bravely burn the iso and try to update?
Do I have to disconnect the battery before I try to load the patched CD (it doesn't say so on the readme file)?

thx

Cannot advise on HDD matters, NOT THAT EXPERIENCED......

The updating procedure I followed was suggested be another fine member Zox and is as follows
1.Burn ISO file on a fresh CD
2.Start the engine, insert burned CD into MMCS
3.Wait MMCS to check the disk (follow on screen prompts) & start update procedure. It may take up to 1 min. to make the checks.
4.Wait for update procedure to finish. This may require 3-5 min. At end MMCS will reboot
5.After it restarts u will be prompted to update AGAIN, choose NO (the MMCS is already updated)
6. Remove the CD, this concludes the update.

Now to be absolutely frank this worked for my car & unit, it will probably work for yours neighbor but at your own risk!!!!!

Keep me posted, if u try, about the results, best luck DIMITRIS

No, the only way to read the hard drive, even for imaging, is by unlocking it. Its the same type of security that laptop's use in the BIOS to lock hard drives.

It is my opinion that you should indeed make a backup before modifying anything. You do not have to disconnect the battery to do the ISO based update. You DO have to disconnect the battery if you directly replace the files on the hard drive, however.
