Wow, this thread is getting long. Does anybody want to/have the ability to setup a Wiki to help organize all of this info?

I haven't touched a thing yet though. But the general plan is exactly as you mentioned. To all interested to contribute, you're all welcome.

I load the CD, it says checking disk then does nothing. CD is greyed out in Mode. Its as if there was no CD in there.

You need to do this.....
If you have 00.20.68 It will update it to 00.30.94 as brian360 said above.
So depending if you have 00.20.68 or 00.30.94 download the appropriate link. If you have the 00.20.68 and use the 00.30.94 it will now be the 00.30.94. The "original" is for 00.20.68, which is a smaller file.

Thank you guys very much. It was the problem you suspected. I had the wrong version. Once I had the correct one, it worked like a charm.
Does anyone have an idea on why the GraceNote will not update? Mitsu's update site says the following:
But the 1959 version is a year and a half later than the 0663 version. I am thinking about using the ISO file from the DVD patch, removing all the files and replacing them with the gracenote files as a last ditch effort.
Does anyone have an idea on why the GraceNote will not update? Mitsu's update site says the following:
For customers using the CDDB Data version with the last four figures ending with [1959], or for customers who purchased a data version of [0663-0000] (all 8 figures), you already have the latest version and updates are not necessary.
They could have just changed the version numbers, but the database content is the same, so no point in doing the upgrade in the first place. Same stuff released a year and a half later with a different version number.

(Otaku: Any updated tool that allows patching + saving yet?)
Its getting there - It all seems to work well, but given the difficulties people appear to be having with ISOs, I'm putting in a "Create ISO" option..
