The generic file is an RAR file. Since this type of file is a compressed file, you have to "unzip it" with a winrar program.
So all that above... un-.rar... then burn ISO and install?

No pulling battery terminals, etc?

There's things I'd love to do at the same time (replacing start-up images, etc) but the traffic here keeps getting worse and worse in the winter and I'm tired of being stuck in traffic with nothing to entertain me (other than Sirus which is getting more and more dull).
Just unzip it, burn the ISO to a CD, pop it in. It will do all the work as long as you don't have a newer version. Otaku is still finishing up on his newest release that will work on all versions.

No messing with the battery or anything.

I replaced my start up image, its pretty easy if you get past unlocking the HDD and accessing the drive.

Hello everyone,
Does anyone have the bluetooth system installed in their cars? Reason why I ask is, since installing the DVD in-motion, my bluetooth system doesn't seem to save my paired phone anymore. I woulsn't think the patch has anything to do with the bluetooth system but since I patched it, it doesn't work. I have to pair the phone everytime I start up the car.

Thank you Otaku and everyone else for the hard work you guys put into this patch. I will be sending you some beer money soon

Yes I have the oem bluetooth and I have installed the DVD patch. It never disturbed my phone pairing because of the DVD patch.

BUT, my phone comes un-paired occasionally. When I say occasionally I mean, pretty random, but about every 3-4 months it will just all of the sudden be un-paired. And this has happened ever since I walked off the dealer lot in May of '07.

I try to remember what is going on the times before it gets unpaired. The only thing that may be causing it may be when I transfer the audio from the bluetooth system, back to the phone so I can have a private conversation. I do this most times when other people are in the car, or if the person on the phonecant hear me very well through the bluetooth I swap over.So about20-30% of my calls in the car I transfer the audio back to the phone. But it just seems that sometimes when I do that feature the system then kicks the pairing. But like I said, it doesnt un-pair very often.

Hrmm..
No : the 30.97 is not nearly complete..
The Generic patcher is complete : this means that _whatever_ version you have, DVD-in-motion is now available.

Or will be, when I finish the subsystem to my satisfaction.
