DVD in motion patch for NR261UM

At this point, after so many months of waiting, I presume is very difficult technology wise to overcome the barrier set by Mitsu for viewing AUX in motion. I am loosing hope....

Whether it's hard or not, the guy who was working on it has probably lost interest and no one else has figured out how to do it. It's time to forget about it and move on. Too bad, but then again it's not the end of the world. Maybe as the 2010 Evo's come out someone will work on it again, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Its a tad more complicated than that..
The Aux-in hack shouldn't be too much hassle, but the new system does a complete rebuild of the CE Image.
This is *dangerous* - If I passed out a new image to someone without it being fully tested, then they could end up with a paperweight..
So, any releases have to wait until I can verify that the rebuild code is good.
I have tried to get access to a unit in my area, but even at that I wouldn't be happy with risking someone else's hardware..
so..
I have just bought this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=270390439762
Once this arrives, I can desolder the main flash, dump a known good copy, and socket it..
At that stage I can play with the image with safety as If it all goes **** up I can just reflash to a good base copy..
Once the code is verified it should all go swimmingly..
Oh, FYI - I've also got what I believe to be a good region-free patch for the DVD player..
Anyways - once I'm happy I'll let you know.

I have a question: i burned the iso image (MMCS 261-UM) on a cd, do i have to only put the cd in the mmcs and let it work by itself and if so, can something go wrong or can i loose all the settings, audio, fm, sirius, etc... and the cd copied in the mmcs?
