Engine misfires for one minute at start up and then is fine
I'm looking at a 2004 Outlander with factory fitted bi fuel and 104,000 miles. The dealer tells me it misfires for the first minute after start up and then runs fine. Am I about to buy something that is going to have a catastrophic failure in the ear future or is it something I could simply live with? If its not a precursor for something really bad i can live with it.

Hi there,
It could be quite a few things, but if it is only on a cold start for a few seconds, I would think, fuel pressure or dirty injectors, maybe old sparkplugs?
I dont think this misfire points to anything that will fail catastrophically.
Engine knocking, smoke, strange noises, those might be of more concern.
When last was this engine properly serviced, not just an oil service?
