These are the things I am hoping to do:
  • Remove TPMS warning while winter tires are installed
  • Have front fog lights illuminate for daytime running lights rather than half-power low-beams. I want to install some HID low-beams and I'd rather use the fogs as DRL (I live in Canada).
Thanks for any guidance.
TPMS can be disabled for sure.
As for the fogs - I'm pretty sure it can be done too.

What's you location?

Not successful, I don't know what else I can try, so it seems that this thing doesn't work on my Out

When you installed the software did your XP told you it installed new hardware named multi-instance USB? If not sure, with the device plugged check "My Computer", Property, Hardware, Device Manager. It should show at the top of the list. If not, that's the problem.

After some searching it appear that Citroen and Peugeot introduced their model in mid 2007 (July 2007) so maybe your Outie was made before the introduction of the European clone. This would mean the software might not be compatible with your version of the ETACS. I hope not...

I do not think so.
Any ETACS-based vehicle is compatible. Some options are available while some not depending on the year/trim, but the basic functions like VIN reading are working, starting from 2007 Lancer X.

jsrd,

it could sound stupid, but try to put Lexia main unit in the freezer (not a fridge) for at least 1 hour, and try to use it while it is frozen.
Though looking weird it helped me to fight microdefect in my Lexia.

Central Alberta.
Are you fairly sure that this will all work with a Lancer? Or is the software pretty specific to the Outlander functions?

This is NOT silly. I use this method to recover "dead" Hard disk all the time I have a 90% success rate using the freeze then copy method it help the electronic behave better then when hot... the only thing to do is to put the device in a plastic bag to avoid condensation.

If it was my unit I would hit every soldered pin with a hot iron just to be sure I don't have a cold solder somewhere.

Tried different software instead of Lexia - Diagbox 6.01.
ESS light is accesible for activation there (unlike NULL value in Lexia), but something's wrong with ESS system setup - ECU is missing, or maybe just wrong configuration.

Any thoughts about this? (Ds mode triggered when pressing 4WD selector).
Citroen C-Crosser , Outlander XL Sport Mode Ds - YouTube
Fake? Seems to hold RPMs higher, which is sort of like what it does when put in 4WD lock (but not as extreme as this video).

As I mentioned before, if someone wants to try Lexia in Vancouver I can let them use mine. They can test it on theirs before I try it on mine

As for ESS, this may provide some help (for Euro Lancer I believe):
http://sportback.2de.ru/35/html/M135502550001600ENG.htm

Looks like its part of ASC-ECU, which can be both good and bad (no extra part needed, but may be different type of ASC ecu). Perhaps try the ESS actuator test in Lexia if supported?
