Hello,

I would like to add a 12-volt receptacle in the center dash storage to power an external GPS. Has anybody else done this? It seems like such a perfect place. Do you think I could splice into the another 12-volt receptacleline? Has anybody removed the front dash for their radio and notice if there is access to wire a 12-volt in the center storage from there or will the whole dash be removed? Where do people plug in their GPS? I find that having the wire hang from the 12-volt in the cockpit all the way to the dash is very unsightly and the wire is in the way. I like to place my GPS on the side of the windshield instead of the center. That way, the GPS falls in line with the A-Pillar and doesn't block the view out of the windshield like the below the mirror mounting position.
