Greetings,

Since winter has arrived in my province, I have noticed that my 2010 Mitsubishi Outlander emits a harsh sound from the engine bay upon acceleration. I have attached a video but if it doesn't do the justice, it just sounds like a really old beat up Honda Civic. I'm thinking of bringing it to the garage tomorrow but if someone has some insight as to what this problem could be, please let me know!

When the windows are up I can hear the noise from what I'd say is below me but a bit towards the engine bay. I opened the engine bay today to see if anything seemed out of place but I found nothing. I also checked under the car but not much can be seen as I don't have anything to lift the car with at the moment, also it's getting dark out and I'd rather take care of the problem tomorrow morning. Might be the exhaust, I'm not sure anymore. The best way I can describe it is, there's the normal sweet V6 sound but with some harshness to it and I doubt its normal.

hmmm, winter, rust, salt, tinny metallic vibration sound, normally on one of my cars, I'd get under and look for a heat shield that's rusted through on one of the bolts and now it's vibrating at certain conditions (speed, engine load, road surface, etc) - just my best guess from the video
