Default RE: Heated Mirrors - Practical Confirmation they Work!

I was doing another modification and had my door skins off... and found something interesting. There are 5 wires in the door connector and only 3 wires to the mirror. So I did a quick test and lo and behold when the defroster was on those other 2 wires got +12vdc. So it is wired and ready, all a person would need is the proper mirrors. Now being in Sacramento California and enjoying a 95+degreeday I have no need for heated mirrors, nor have I ever needed them, I just figured someone else might want to know.

I may post my other mod if I feel ambitious... nothing special, just a way to stop the door rubbers from destroying the window tint.

Post it - good advice for those owners in the southern climes who need the front tint.

I was told by the salesman when I picked up my loaded XLS in March that it came with heated mirror. I haven't tried it yet.
