Help to convert Outlander to 7 Seater

No, you are correct. If you just added the seats your insurance would technichally be invalid and you 'should' fail an mot.
I was just saying that it is actually leagal to change this if you do it properly.
I have also herd of people needing to have the car inspected after filling in changes to details on the v5 but, personally, I have never been asked.
I think it may be something to do with the fact that I have only ever put seats into cars where there was also an option to buy the car like this in the first place.

Thank you all for your inputs.. I live in India & not sure how Insurance companies will treat modifications..will check on that side. But does Outlander sell as seven seater (company fitted?) at all in any part of the world?
