I have a 2011 outlander sport front wheel drive.

I Have never come across something like this and hoping maybe someone here has.
Start the car runs normal can rev the car up hits about 2,000 rpm then gas pedal stops responding and car idles normal drops back down to around 800-1000 rpms and sounds normal but gas pedal will do nothing till I shut it off and restart the car. Can change gear in the car and does nothing will not move at all. It did attempt to move the other day in drive but as soon as I gave it gas pedal stopped responding again. No CEL no other lights on.
I did have 2 keys programmed for the car a couple of weeks prior to this happening. Could this be the issue? Something else? I have no clue was a great car for the 2 months I was able to drive it before this happened.
