Default hid's won't work

yes hi I just recently bought a set of HID's for my 2008 outlander and i hooked it up just like dekodan said to do in his post and when i turn my car on the HID's flicker once and then go out what could be the problem if anyone could please help me that would be great.

Is the fuse on that circuit now blown?

This will happen if a relay is not used.

Beware, a lot of the cheap ebay HID kits just plain old suck. I tried a set, and the ballasts blew out after a few runs. When it comes to HIDs, it's better to pay more and find a worthy set.
