How do I remove TPMs Warning....
tempered by some thoughts.
-if there is a maximum pressure that triggers them the 60psi of the spare would surely cause this to occur. (possibly 28 to 38psi is the OK range and more than that is a problem?)
-everything I've read about these points to them requiring motion to activate from their "sleep" state and provide data. Is vehicular motion enough or do them need to spin in the wheel?
-can they all transmit to their respective receiver antennas from inside the spare?
Who's going to try this out?

The Mitsu dealer in Roanoke, VA went out of business, but the shop is still there (affliated with a used import dealer now) and will do service work. I had to replace one sensor due to a broken plastic valve stem (brilliant). So I ordered a set of 4 on Ebay since I don't have a local dealer and to have spares, and had the broken one replaced by a Sears auto center. They warned that it might need to be coded to the ECU. I said OK. The alert came on as predicted, and so I had chi chi take it in to the former dealer. They fooled with it for awhile and then said she'd have to replace all 4. Is this true? I have the others, but that seems a bit excessive...
Can the Outlander work with 2 sets of 4 TPMS sensors? I have the original ones on the summer rims and I went to a local shop and had another 4 installed on the winter rims. They worked for 2 days and then I got an error. The tire shop guys tried to reprogram them, but they said the car doesn't accept them.
My question is: Is the Outlander limited to 4 sensor IDs only? In this case, has anyone tried cloning the original TPMS IDs and installed the cloned ones on winter rims ?

Apparently the newer ones support 2 sets of 4 sensors if you can find someone who knows how to program them.. Not sure how new it has to be though, may only be on the latest model...
You can clone the IDs but I don't think you can do so with the OEM ones, you need programmable aftermarket ones for your car that support ID cloning.
