Otaku,

Thanks for the responses! Most of what I was saying was a rant but the main thing I'm trying to get out of this is to:

A. Put in a larger hard drive,
B. Add music directly to hard drive and database, and
C. If A and B can be accomplished, put on hacked firmware that will bypass the password checking and be able to watch DVD's while in motion.

You mentioned easilly bypassed (specific model's), could you elaborate more?

Thanks again..

I used Acronis true image workstation software to copy entire hdd to other hdd that is 120Gb and next resize last partition that contain music data to about 90Gb. Leave other partition untouched.
All work perfect in mmcs.

Interesting, thanks! I take it though that you're still importing CD's by putting them into the drive right...

Otaku-

Sent you a PM...

Heard on another forum you've stopped any progress on this? Man, sorry to hear, you were really making some breakthroughs (perhaps these rumors are wrong..)

If you ever develop a way to emulate the OS of this on a PC, or even better allow a way to directly copy music to the drive, I'd pay for that!

I just ordered a 2.5" 3.5" IDE adapter. It does not look like there is any kind of label to which way the HDD should connect. How do I know which way to put it. An old one I had was labeled with a "1" so I knew which way to do it, but its been years and my memory is a little hazy.

I have a 32 hours car trip coming up, and don't want to fry my HDD before it.
