Hard drive data cannot be read.

 

After flashing(recover) my japanese mmcs with n-02 the hard drive can't be read in the car when I try to connect it back to my laptop to recover from my backup the xbox unlocker won't read the hard drive but when I connect it to my linux it reads it fine.any advise?

Questions:
1. On which drive and folder the files for the languages is kept?
2. I heard someone say if you connect the hard drive to windows it will create some files on the disc which should be deleted before inserting back into the mmcs.where exactly are these files created and what are the names(extension)?
3. Once the hard drive goes into the car it is locked again, right? but I attached the hard drive to ubuntu and it works perfectly and I didnt unlock it after taking it out from the mmcs because as i said the xbox util won't pick up the hard drive after I flashed it with n-02.
4. Why can't I just change the language file instead of flashing the entire ting?

Assumptions:
Hard drive is still good(because it reads in the linux, just not in the mmcs and in the xbox util program)

I still want to finish converting the j-03 to n-02.

 

Am having MYSTERIOUS problem mmcs won't read my toshiba hard drive. I flashed the original backup to a fujitsu and it worked perfectly when I flash the same image to my toshiba the mmcs won't read it. anybody have any ideas??
