Take care your computer is IDE and not SATA connections for the HDD. If its IDE then what you showed is OK, if its SATA connections then you will need a different type of converter.....

I have read the entire thread. I have some questions I would like to ask before I try am not interested in maps or anything I just want it in english. Vadimus instructions are clear.

After unlocking and Backing up with acronis is there any possibility of bricking the entire thing?
Can I always revert to how it was before?

Default n-04

Thanks Vadimus...so I need to make a full backup using acronis?

where can I get n-04 backup and also the loader file?
I understand that when unlocking the drive must be connected to the cpu straight I have an old laptop that uses IDE so am just going to take it out and use the one from the nav in it.
After it is unlock can I connect through usb to do the backup?

Hey there, look I was wondering if you could please list the items I need to connect the Hard Drive from the MMCS to my PC. If I can't connect it through USB can you list the items with a link to where I can buy them please.

Really appreciate your help.

Cheers

Am not sure of the name but I know its a laptop IDE hard drive adaptor to PC ie IT SHOULD CONNECT DIRECTLY TO THE PC NOT USB. I think someone posted the correct name in this same topic. In my case am going to use an old laptop that uses IDE hard drive so am just going to switch it with the one from the mmcs so I won't need that cable.
