Default RE: Initial impressions of 08 Outtie 4WD ES

I have a 2008 Outie SE, it has 4 cyl. avg. about 27 mpg combined (80% hwy @ 65 mph), Rockford/Fosgate audio which is awesome (I'm very particular about my music anywhere and this system is very good but I wish some of the menus were more logical and in different order), 18" wheels (this car handles really well for this class of vehicle and outdone only by BMW X3), Silver with chrome on door sill/side skirt (I've seen posts about wheel spray chipping the doors but I've not had this problem), 18" silver painted wheels (I may replace with 18" black wheels), the CVT is awesome especially with the air on in the hills (the engine just lazily increases rpm to an appropriate level and then slowly falls back - none of the jerking and screaming rpm's in a traditional automatic transmission), I love it. I bought it three months ago and just passed 13,000 miles. I'm on vacation at the moment in the hills of Asheville, NC and the grade up to our cabin has to be 15%-20%. The Outie 4 cyl w/CVT runs up to about 3500 RPM but handles it fine. Gotta go, more later!!
