just want to confirm - door lock programming
just to let you know....it can be done for people without NAV, but the dealer need to do it. It was confirmed to me today by Mitsubishi Canada.
I was very pleased by the Mitsubishi Canada call, the guy was really friendly and very helpfull. He told me my paint would be fixed by my dealer next time I go and that he can provide them instructions on how to program the door unlocking.
I am still not pleased by the dealer service, but at least the Mitsubishi Canada service is really good.
tx everyone!

I had the same issue...07 outie without the Nav system and I wanted the keyfob to unlock all the doors. I went to the dealership and told them the manual said it can be done by reprogramming the remote. They said they would have to research how to do it. Went back two weeks later and they said they had figured out how to do it. After working on it for an hour they said it was taken care of...and they tried to charge me for an hour of labor ($85)! I told them I absolutely would not pay for having a simple remote programming change done that can be done by any owner who has the Nav system. They waived the charge, but I was seriously pissed. Bottom line, it can be done, but don't let the dealer screw you on something that can be easily adjusted and should be done as a courtesy by the dealership. I can't believe Mitsubishi didn't set the default to unlock all doors in the first place...damn inconvenient to have it only unlock the fronts (especially if you have small kids that you are carrying to the car).

I did it on my XLS without Nav.
At first, the tech was not sure that it can be done. I saw in the user manual that it can be done so I show him the page
Heplugs the computer, do some clicks and finds the right option.
Did it in 5 minutes and said that I was the first to ask for it.

Thanks!!
I don't know the exact page because my manual is in french.
For me it's page 3-23 in a remark. If I translate, it will be:
"Configurations can be modify making all doors and hatch unlocking with F.A.S.T. key."
or something like that...

Thanks Bob. I think I'll just point them at this thread and make them pursue it.
Seems a bit silly these dealers are not aware it can be done - but isn't that always the way these days with everything? I never phone any tech service departments about anything - always a better answer to be found on a relevant forum these days!

Yes, the door can be programmed by the owner itself and without the NAV system....
It's in the manual:
Open the front left door
Switch head lights to OFF (not Auto)
press on LOCK(on remote) for 5 sec, hold it then press at the same time on UNLOCK once, then relaese the LOCK.... you should hear 1 chime...
1 chime = All doors Unlocking
2 chimes = Driver doors Unlocking only
Try it (close the driver door, lock all and play with the handle)
Redo it until you get what you need... ;-)
Hope that help ! (Done on a Outi 2010 XLS W/O NAV)

Thanks guys for this great advice. I tried supermanu's steps on my 07 XLS w/o Nav, and it did everything EXCEPT reprogram the key - it gave the chimes, but nothing changed. I've been fighting with my dealership about this for over a year, but they wouldn't listen to me - wouldn't even TRY to see if they could reprogram it. Tried it at the other local dealership (both owned by the same guy incidentally), and convinced the service writer to let me talk to the tech. He didn't think it could be done, but plugged the computer into the car anyway, and less than 5 minutes later he had it reprogrammed!
He thought that because the '07s have a slightly different FAST key, it might not work, but was persistent and got it. BTW they did NOT charge me a penny for this - both the service writer and tech were glad to know this as they had told other people it couldn't be done. Persistence pays off!
