Looking to buy a Outlander - LPG issues with it though!
Hi guys,
First post here, and sadly it's a cry for help!
I'm looking at purchasing a '04 Outlander Sport with the factory fitted LPG option, but the LPG switchover has stopped working.
The current owner said that this happened after the battery was disconnected to be charged, when it was plugged back in the LPG switchover failed to kick in.
He has the software CD for the LPG system and has said it's a simple fix but is selling the car as is and will not get it fixed first. Screams 'LEMON!' to me, but it's a nice example, hence my question:
Can the LPG switchover on Outlanders go **** up when battery power is lost, and if so is it easy to fix? Furthermore, are there other common faults with this system and how expensive could it be to repair?
Thanks in advance to all who respond to this.
Jez
