Hello everyone, i've been on this site reading about all the cool things people do to their Mitsubishi Outties. I have a 2007 Outlander XLS with the RF system and MMCS (navi). Everything worked great and had the best sound with the sub in the back until the audio started cutting in and out. When it was on, it sounded great, then it would cut out. Noticed it originally on bumps and then sometimes if I messed with the power windows it would come back on for a few minutes (could have been coincidence). I have tried to recreate the problem with no luck. Now, it barely ever works. I just keep it turned off because i can't stand hearing an awesome system work for 1 minute then turn off for 10 minutes. I thought it was an amp problem, so i switched it out with an exact duplicate I got off a low mileage junk yard Outlander. Same problem. I have concluded that its not the amp, the speakers are all fine, but i MUST have a connection issue. Where would I start as I am not as experienced as most of you? I checked fuses and I can verify the amp is getting power. anyone know of anything else i can mess with? please let me know much appreciated!!

 

Go to someone who installs car stereos, they will be able to best troubleshoot an imperfect contact.

 

I have, and I would take it back for a full diagnosis, but do not want to pay $50-100 to find out I had a bad amp the entire time or that one little wire was loose. Has anyone else has problems with these RF 7 channel amps?
