Mitsubishi Montero & Montero Sport This sport utility vehicle offers more size than the other Mitsubishi SUVs, but manages to keep a sporty look and comfortable feel, unlike many larger SUVs.

Default Randomly not starting

Hi to all!

Yesterday my '03 Montero 76,000 miles, will not start at all as if the battery is dead or somewhat disconnected. The radio, horn, lights are perfectly working but when you turn your keys for the ignition to start the engine, nothing was happening, it won't even crank, as if there was no power source at all. It took me 5 times before I got it to start. I just change my battery mid year last year. This incident happened to me 3 times already since last year. I need an advice on how to fix this problem.

Thank you!

Sounds like it may be a poor connection somewhere along the main lines, including grounding. Also check starter condition.

Default Starting problems

Two most obvious suspects are bad starter and/or bad transmission range switch. Could be bad contacts to ether one of these. PM me and i can send you wiring diagram for starter and troubleshooting guide.
