Loud clicking

I just noticed this....when I am in park and idling and step on the brake, Ihear a loud clicking noise coming from the center console just below the shifter...which I assume is the brake releasing the shifter to allow it to move out of park...anyone else notice this noise?
It's an 07 XLS 2wd.

Thats just the park-lock release. Some vehicles are louder then others. My '99 Cougar was loud, my '07 Outlander I can barely hear it.
