MAF sensor location on 2007 Mitsubishi Outlander
Hey Jayasc,
So I removed the sensor, cleaned it with the cleaner that I got at the auto parts store and reconnected it. Drove about 2 weeks and the service light is still on. So, if the sensor is infact bad, can I replace that myself? I looked up the part number online and theres a big supply of this part. Is it as simple as, removing the other, switching this one back in and im good? Or does it require more to it and a trip to the shop?

Without a fault diagnosis tree and some more evidence, I wouldn't just start replacing expensive parts.
Was the scan tool used the Mistubishi MB991958 Scan Tool, I wouldn't take the Autozone code at face value.
I am attempting to attach the service manual diagnostic pages. Obviously you won't have the official scan tool, but it does have the diagram detailing the expected voltages/ohms to check against before spending $75-150 bucks on a new one.
Hope it helps, cheers

So I ordered a new sensor on eBay. I matched up the part number and made positive that it's compatible with my 07. It arrived, I took the old one out and put the new one in. Went to fire it up and it won't even idle now. It sputters for a second and promptly dies. I put the original back in and it started up. Any ideas?
Thanks
